The Ludwig’s Spring Rose Festival is on from 03-12 October and digital ed Carina Claassens had a sneak peek into what you can look forward to when visiting the farm just outside Pretoria

This year’s festival theme is “Peter Rabbit romps around the roses” and visitors will see large display gardens filled with roses as well as many other flowers.

There’s much to do during the festival which makes an exciting day out for the whole family. There’ll be rose planting for the kids, wine tasting and a fragrance bar where you can try to identify specific scents. Grab something to eat at the Spiced Coffee restaurant – the scones with rose jam are a must – or have a picnic among the beautiful roses.
