Creating a flow between the patio and living areas wasn’t as straightforward as the couple had imagined. “There was no access for heavy machinery to the back garden so our builder had to dig the patio and cart the sand away by hand,” recalls Jo. The floor here consists of large pavers inter-planted with ground-cover, which link this area to the garden. At the other end is a covered sitting area with a fireplace, which Jo furnished with comfy couches and wicker occasional chairs from Coricraft. “It’s ideal for lazy afternoons lying on the sofa with a book,” she says.
