The new Tashas in Nelson Mandela Square is one of those spots you just have to pop into. Whether it’s for a quick coffee, an early breakfast or a celebratory dinner.
The Flamingo Room, as the back section is called, is great for any-time-of-day eating, drinking and meeting and evokes a sense of 1920’s glam with an African touch.
From tables with chairs to comfortable lounge areas, the seating is one of a kind and caters for all occasions.
Beautiful accessories and finishes add to the glitzy atmosphere.
What we love about it – aside from the decor of course – is the dessert menu. What to order you ask? Why not try Doxa’s chocolate slice. It’s a moist chocolate cake with milk chocolate sauce and caramelised hazelnuts. Another must-try is the Tropical flamingo, made with pineapple granita, liquid marshmallow, coconut crumble, pineapple and chilli confit and Chantilly cream, it’s the ultimate indulgence.
