This 3-ingredient Crème Brûlée method is effortless and very straightforward! Try it for a birthday party or dinner with friends.

INGREDIENTS

    • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
    • 4 egg yolks
    • ½ cup sugar

METHOD

PREHEAT oven to 160℃.

HEAT ice cream in a microwave-safe bowl until just melted. Whisk in egg yolks until combined.

POUR liquid into four ramekins, then place the ramekins in a roasting tray. Carefully pour boiling water into the tray, filling it up ¼ of the way.

BAKE crème brûlées for 40-45 minutes, until just set but still slightly wobbly. Remove and set aside to cool for 10 minutes, then place in the fridge for 3 hours to set.

SPRINKLE 2 tbsp of sugar onto each crème brûlée and shake lightly to create an even coating. Caramelise the sugar using a blowtorch and serve.

Tip: No blowtorch? Make a simple caramel for the top of the crème brûlée instead. Carefully swirl it over each crème brûlée and allow it to harden.
