If you weren’t any of the above what would you be?
Bored!

What has been the highlight of your career?
A toss up between spending nine months in South East Asia travelling and filming and the moment I held my first book, Jane’s Delicious Garden, in my hands.

My three Bs: a beer, a good book and a bag of chips.

What current gardening trend is your favourite?

If you could do one thing to lift a garden, what would it be?
Add edible flowers and productive herbs – which also look beautiful.

What are you working on right now?
A television commercial, an update of Jane’s Delicious Garden and a painting of reflections on water.

What’s the best thing you ever bought?
Our house and its garden, it’s my oasis and sanctuary.

What’s your indispensable tool/accessory/gadget?
Knowledge. You can buy as many gadgets as you like but without knowledge, very few of them will be much use.
