As a family with two young boys, many pets and a home in a coastal setting, Lulu Ridgway of Lu’Nique Interior & Design had to come up with a design for their patio that would be both practical and stylish.
Lulu explains: “The family wanted a relaxed, low-maintenance summery outdoor living and entertaining area with vibrant colours, maximum seating, as well as durable pet-, child- and weather-friendly finishes.”
Lulu’s easy-living design elements:
- All the outdoor fabrics are easy to clean and have excellent UV-, stain-resistant and weathering qualities.
- Thanks to an aluminium subframe the furniture can’t rust. The artificial wicker has anti-corrosion and UV-resistant qualities.
- The round daybed is on wheels making it hassle-free to move in or out of the sun. It also rotates on its base.
- The coffee table’s glass top is steady, durable and hygienic.
- The sheer polyester curtains are easily removable, washable, and all components are made from marine grade stainless steel.
