1. GO FOR GOLD
To create a makeup station in a tiny corner, decorator Kirsty Lindley combined a classic bamboo mirror updated with gold paint with a small white desk and a contemporary chair. A set of glass jars makes accessories easy to find.
2. NEW ATTITUDE
In keeping with the clean lines of this bedroom, the dressing table consists of a glass-topped floating unit and an unframed mirror. Drawers on either side provide plenty of storage space so that the surface remains uncluttered. Decor by Kirsty Lindley.

Designed by Pepper White Interior Solutions, this dressing table has plenty of storage and counter space. A tray holds perfumes and containers while the matt grey finish offsets the trendy copper accessories and a modern wood framed mirror.

Don’t be afraid to mix styles. Here, an antique dressing table lives happily with a buttoned stool and silver accessories while an ornate mirror gives just the right amount of glamour. A mod lamp in complementary grey adds extra light.
6. FLOATING ON AIR
To free up floor space in a small bedroom, Jonathan Avnon, of Joseph Avnon Interiors, fixed the dressing table unit to the wall for a look that’s streamlined and modern. Providing the finishing touch is an on trend Scandi-style chair and window-style mirror.
