Why did you choose this career?
We have a passion for food and started doing it as a weekend project for fun. It quickly developed into something more and we saw an opportunity to do what we love for a living.

Where did you study?
We are self-taught cooks who both started out with BAs in Humanities from WITS.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
Clemmy’s mom has been a massive inspiration and teacher in the kitchen. One of the biggest inspirations for both of us is fresh produce and imagining all the delicious things we could create with it. We often visit family in France and spend a lot of time getting comfortable with all the fresh items they have at markets and stores.

What has been the highlight of your career?
Getting to know our staff, enjoying their different personalities and forming our own little Tutto family.

Instagram, Twitter or Facebook?
We use them all, you can follow us @tuttofoodco

Top tip for anyone wanting to open a specialist catering company?
Make sure you have a really good product that is true to who you are and not just in line with a current trend.

Your guilty pleasure?
A good Scotch.

What current food trend is your favourite?
The emphasis on quality ingredients which allows simplicity of cooking.

What are you working on right now?
A few new projects but they’re still hush-hush.

What’s your indispensable tool/accessory/gadget?
Our kitchen knives – they’ll last forever and enable us to do anything.
