We chat to designer Mia Danieli about her stunning products, her top decor tip and what she’s working on now
Why did you choose this career?
It chose me! I don’t think I could do something that isn’t creative.
Where did you study?
I studied textile design at Shenkar Collage of Engineering and Design, in Israel.
If you didn’t own Mia Mélange what would you do?
Work as a textile designer for an interior or fashion company.
Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
Everything around me inspires me, but I am most attracted to nature and different cultures.
Your decor style in three words
Basic, minimalistic, natural.
Top tip for anyone wanting to open a decor business?
Just keep going no matter how hard the road gets and be prepared to work non-stop!
Your guilty pleasure?
Food, wine and more food.
What current decor trend is your favourite?
Plants everywhere! I love that nature has become an important part of interior decorating.
What are you working on right now?
We have collaborated with the talented Ilundi Designs on a capsule collection of luxury bags, which include our basket parts and their leather work. We’ll launch the collection at HCM.
