First impressions count. Tie a few decorations to a ribbon to create a pretty charm to hang from the handle of your front door. For a whimsical twist, position a couple of fanciful creatures around to welcome your guests: use one as a doorstop and sit one on a wall-mounted clock or artwork, then up the wow factor with a stack of colourfully wrapped gifts.
